Your Weekly Pins

Just because it's a holiday weekend doesn't mean I haven't been pinning things! Here's what caught my eye on Pinterest this week.




HOME DECOR

[Talk about a grand entrance! This doorway is absolutely spectacular in every way.]



[Our master bedroom has these slanted walls, as well. We've been having such a difficult time figuring out what to do with the room's decor, and this room is a a good source of inspiration.]



[This kitchen is in the same home as the bedroom above - and this shot reminds me so much of our kitchen at home! I'd love that sink and the countertop and the backsplash is really nice too. And that dishwasher to the left? We'll be making that little addition to our home in early 2012.]




CRAFTS

[This is such a neat idea, and a fun way to make a bold statement (literally) on a wall. I love the "Bon Appetite" idea for the kitchen.]



[What a creative way to dress up ugly thrift-store frames - use pretty fabric wrapped around! I can think of a few places around our house where I could use this idea.]




A CHRISTMAS STORY

[Bacon makes me happy all year round, so this little ornament would make me even happier around Christmas time! What's more, I think he could be easily sewn so I could make one myself. Cute!]



[I love advent calendars at Christmas, and this little wooden shelf would make for a really low-key, rustic advent calendar with pretty-wrapped gifts inside each little cubby.]




I CAN HAZ STYLE?

[I always have an awkward time trying to figure out what to do with the end of belts when cinched around the waist - this simple tutorial gives four different ways to tie off your belts with any outfit.]



[One of those belts above would look great with this fantastic 3/4-sleeved dress. Pair it with wool leggings and tall boots and it would be perfect for fall or winter.]



[And, yes, another belted dress. Of course, I'm always drawn to that mustard yellow. I think this dress would be so flattering on anyone!]



[Apparently, I was not in the mood to wear pants this week, so here's another dress. This chocolate and taupe number is absolutely gorgeous. I love the draping and contrast of color. So pretty!]




I WANT

[Confession: I've had dreams where pizza is the star. And in this sleeping bag, I could dream of pizza while sleeping in pizza. WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO DO THAT? Plus, those mushroom pillows just look so cozy...]




TRUTHINESS

[It's true. It's so, so true.]



[I don't usually pin quotes, as I'm far too cynical to actually find inspiration in most of them, but this one, I love... especially because it comes from one of my favorites: Mark Twain.]
