HOMEY

[This is a room in Mike D's (of the Beastie Boys) townhome in New York. Not only is it neat to be able to peer into the home of Mike D himself, but he happens to have an amazingly well-styled home. It's a little mismatched, but beautiful and full of character. I absolutely love it!]

[Speaking of fantastic home tours, this one is one of my favorites I've seen in a long time. From top to bottom, it's beautifully designed. Open, airy and filled with a mix of rustic and mid-century sleekness, this home is just so well curated. I love every room.]

[Although I'm fairly certain I'll never know the joy of having a room with herringbone wood floors, I am still enamored with the look, and can dream about it all I want.]
I WANT TO EAT THAT.

[I've been pinning a lot of dishes that look awfully similar to one another - usually bright, with some kind of grain (usually quinoa), sprinkled with avocado or edamame.... and this Asian-Quinoa Salad is no different. But can you blame me for wanting to re-pin this over and over? It's so pretty!]

[Behold, the Jalapeno Popper Pasta. In all its cheesy, spicy glory, this dish looks like a definite crowd pleaser to me. I can't wait to try it!]
I CAN HAZ STYLE?

[I adore this sunny summer dress. The colors are just lovely and I love the fun pattern. It could be a summer staple for years to come!]

[I've really been into retro-inspired swim suits lately. This high-waisted suit is perfectly sailor chic with a retro twist. Now if only I could talk myself into buying one of these beauties...]

[I really like this simple country dress. Can't you just see someone walking through a field at sunset in this baby? Because, as fashion photoshoots have taught us all, walking alone in the middle of a field at sunset is essentially the official pastime of 20-somethings everywhere.]

[I absolutely love every one of these 14 summer sandals... and the fact that they're all under $50 makes me like them even more!]
I WANT

[How cute is this little sunglasses case? I like to pretend I would use it, carefully zipping up my sunglasses in the case and placing it neatly in my purse after each use, but let's face it: I always just fling my shades over to the passenger seat in my car when I'm done no matter what.]
FUNNEE

[This is the first time I have ever recommended following an entire Pinterest board, but for the love of cats, whatever you do, just start following "My Imaginary Well-Dressed Toddler Daughter" right now. This is the single most brilliant use of Pinterest I have ever seen. I'm so incredibly jealous I didn't think of this idea first.... Pinterester Tiffany Beveridge has created an entire board filled with pins of overstyled youngsters, creating almost a storyboard for her imaginary daughter "Quinoa." Here's the caption she's given the photo above: "One time when Quinoa and I got separated in a busy train station, she thankfully remembered our safety training: stay in one place, look spectacular, and don't talk to poor people."
It is knee-slapping hilarious and, again, I'm in awe of the creativity of this idea. It's sure to spawn dozens of copycats - but if they're half as funny as this board, the more, the merrier!]
There are plenty where these came! To see everything I pin, all week long, follow me on Pinterest.
I think the funniest post on that Pinterest page is the one of Breakfast at Tiffanys. Cracks me up everytime.
